Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso was a Spanish artist who worked in a variety of styles and is known as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, credited also as the co-creator of the Cubism movement.


Picasso is the most well-known name in the modern art world and this prolific artist is thought to have created some 50,000 artworks in his lifetime, his process was known as being experimental and expressive; encompassing a cast assortment of media.


Picasso spent his life endeavouring to break boundaries and explore new ways of describing form. 

 


The Marina Collection


The lithographs featured in this collection including ‘Femme au Balcon and ‘La Fille De L’Artiste a Deux Ans Et Demie Avec Un Bateau’ form part of the Marina Picasso Estate Collection. 


Each of these artworks has been hand-printed using a traditional method of multi-plate colouring, under the strict supervision of Marcel Salinas; one of Picasso’s closest creative partners.
